Claire Fletcher
I hold an Honours Degree in Psychology (Counselling) together with my Montessori Teaching Qualification, allowing me to combine a strong understanding of child development with the proven principles of Montessori education. My passion has always been to create a nurturing environment where every child feels loved, valued, respected, and inspired to learn.
As both an educator and principal, I understand that choosing a preschool is one of the biggest decisions a family will make. It marks the beginning of your child’s educational journey and shapes their first experiences of school life. My goal is to ensure that every child who walks through our doors feels safe, confident, happy, and excited to come to school each day.
At Rising Stars Montessori, we are committed to providing an authentic Montessori education that equips children with the skills, confidence, and independence needed to transition successfully into any of the excellent primary schools in our community.
Our philosophy is centred on developing respectful, compassionate, curious, and well-balanced children. We celebrate every child’s individuality and encourage them to grow into confident young people at their own pace. We also believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential, which is why open, honest communication with our families is at the heart of everything we do.
One of the things that makes Rising Stars Montessori truly special is our small class sizes. With a total school capacity of just 45 children, every child receives the individual attention, encouragement, and guidance they deserve. Daily one-on-one interaction with their teacher allows each child to progress confidently according to their own abilities, rather than feeling like just another number in a classroom.
Our Montessori environment is carefully prepared to encourage independence, creativity, logical thinking, concentration, and problem-solving. By removing unnecessary competition, children develop genuine self-confidence and a lifelong love of learning while discovering their own unique strengths.

The safety and wellbeing of our children are our highest priorities. Every member of our team has undergone police clearance and holds current First Aid, Fire Safety, and Emergency Evacuation certifications, ensuring that our children are cared for in a safe and secure environment.
Our Head Teachers are Montessori qualified and are passionate about providing an authentic Montessori education that nurtures each child’s individual potential. They carefully prepare engaging learning environments that encourage independence, curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Each classroom is supported by one or two qualified Head Teachers, together with one or two dedicated Teaching Assistants. This ensures that every child receives the individual attention, guidance, and encouragement they need throughout the day, while maintaining a safe, caring, and nurturing environment. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential to every child’s development. Our teachers maintain close communication with parents and are always available to discuss a child’s progress, achievements, or any concerns that may arise.
When appropriate, we share photographs of the children throughout the day, allowing parents to feel connected to their child’s learning experiences and to enjoy being part of their preschool journey. We understand how reassuring it is to know what your child is doing each day, and we love celebrating these special moments with our families.
